Uttarakhand is one of the 28 states of India. Dehradun is the capital of Uttarakhand. It became the 27th state of the Republic of India on November 9, 2000.

Uttarakhand is often referred to as the Land of Gods due to the vast number of hindu temples in the state. There are 13 districts in the state.
