Yingluck Shinawatra is the Prime Ministerial candidate of the Pheu Thai Party in the Thailand 2011 General Election. She will become the first female Prime Minister of Thailand. Yingluck is the younger sister of Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is currently in a self imposed exile in Dubai.

Yingluck Shinawatra is the current president of Bangkok-based property developer SC Asset Co., Ltd.

Impeachment

Yingluck Shinawatra will face impeachment in the upper house of Thailand Parliament. She is facing charges over a costly rice subsidy scheme, said Thailand's anti-graft body. Shinawatra could face ban from politics for five years. May 8, 2014
